On September 26, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva met with State Secretary of the Holy See Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
At the meeting was mentioned that Azerbaijan played a unique role of a cultural bridge between the East and the West, highly appreciating the traditions of tolerance and multiculturalism formed for centuries in our country.
During the conversation, contributions made by Azerbaijan to strengthening of dialogue among cultures and religions, international events hosted by our country in this regard and, in particular, works carried out and significant projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were emphasized.
