Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
On October 22, the 2nd exhibition on the theme “Environmental issues and ways of their solution through students’ eyes” was organized, with the support of the Youth and Sports Ministry in the Baku Crystal Hall.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, other officials, MPs, and ambassadors of foreign states to Azerbaijan became familiarized with the works being displayed at the exhibition.
The objective of holding this exhibition is to encourage the youth to show more interest for the environmental issues, enlighten them on this sphere, at the same time, support their creative potential, and stimulate social initiatives.
Paintings of up to 200 young people aged 14 to 29 made in the styles of easel painting, quilling, calligraphy, ceramic, painting, ebru art, graphics, gravure, landscape design, batik, and vitrage on the theme of ecology are demonstrated at the exhibition. Moreover, various works made by the youth in the ecological theme have also been displayed.
Master classes, an eco-show, small scenes, quizzes, and sports competitions to promote healthy lifestyle were organized with participation of the youth, and endangered animals and rare tree types listed on the Red Book of Azerbaijan were demonstrated.
At the end, winners of the exhibition were awarded.
