President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva became familiarized with the exhibition dedicated to People’s Artist of Azerbaijan and USSR, Hero of Socialist Labour, laureate of the State Prize, world-renowned artist Tahir Salahov at the Baku Expo Centre, December 14.

Up to 80 carpets, 40 paintings and 350 photos chosen from Tahir Salahov’s personal gallery, from the funds of the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum and the State Art Gallery of Azerbaijan are demonstrated at the exhibition. Works reflecting all periods of the artist’s creativity are displayed in the exposition covering a four thousand-square metre area. The photos show Tahir Salahov’s meetings with world-renowned people of science, art, and state figures, interesting moments of his life.
