Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration of Psychoneurological social service establishment No.1 in Buzovna settlement, after reconstruction, February 15.
Psychoneurological social service establishment No.1 of the State Social Protection Fund under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population was established in 1974. Starting from 2018, basic reconstruction works have been carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in this institution.
Becoming acquainted with the facilities created here, Leyla Aliyeva was informed that as a result of the reconstruction works, conditions meeting contemporary standards were created here to take care of the inhabitants of the institution in terms of their health and comfort. With 217 beds, the institution accommodates an assembly hall, a cinema, a library, an archive room, canteens to nourish the inhabitants, as well as a centralized kitchen, corners for leisure and recreation, and isolation rooms - all provided with necessary furniture and equipment. The institution has been functioning on ensuring appropriate living conditions, having admitted people with disability, and providing rehabilitation services. People who have not reached the stage of symptomatic psychosis and are in need of social service are admitted to the establishment.
Improvement works were carried out on the establishment’s yard, greenery works performed on the territory, various types of trees planted, and rest corners created.
