An exhibition called “Spring Joys” by inhabitants of social institutions, in particular, children and juveniles with restricted health condition, and a concert programme were arranged in “Electra Events Hall” in the Seaside National Park, with the organizational support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.

Minister of labour and social protection of population Sahil Babayev addressed the event.

Inhabitants of social institutions under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population, public associations, inclusive theatre and creative unions patronized by the ministry demonstrated their skills at the festivity “Spring Joys”.

Leyla Aliyeva viewed the exhibition comprised of handicrafts of children and juveniles with restricted health condition, and inhabitants of social institutions. By these handicrafts, made in the styles of painting, artistic engraving, and weaving, the authors expressed their optimistic view of life, wishes and thoughts, love for the Homeland, beauties of the Azerbaijani nature, and rich national and moral values.

Talking with authors of handicrafts, Leyla Aliyeva wished them successes in their future activities.

At the national culinary corner, children demonstrated their gutab-making, dough-rolling, and dushbara-wrapping skills.

Leyla Aliyeva became familiarized with the carpet-weaving corner, and talked with the carpet weaving youth.

Then, a concert programme was presented. Visually impaired Gulnar Rahimova, Seymur Aliyev and Gulnar Novruzova sang songs, and performances of dance groups comprised of children with restricted health condition, down and autism syndrome, haemophilia, speech and hearing problems took place.

Becoming familiarized with the sports corner, Leyla Aliyeva met here with sportsmen of the Bocce Sports Federation. Established following Leyla Aliyeva’s initiative, the bocce sports type has been advancing year-by-year. Our national team on this sports type has had its first victories at international competitions.

Disabled persons demonstrated their skills on such sports types as bocce, fencing, par-taekwondo, archery, and shooting.
