Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, the “Day of Azerbaijan” was organized in the “Ramadan Tent” installed on “Poklonnaya Gora” in Moscow, and an iftar table laid by Russian Muftis Council.
Before the iftar, a representative of the Azerbaijani clergymen read ayahs from Holy Qur`an, and an evening prayer.
Public figures, representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora, and some 1000 Muslims of different nationalities participated in the event.
Moderator of the event presented, on behalf of the Russian Muftis Council, a letter of thanks to Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and representative of the Foundation Ayan Hasanova for the organizational, creative and spiritual contribution to the “Ramadan Tent -2019” event.
A video footage dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was shown at the event. National Azerbaijani music was performed at the event by “Baku” ensemble, and singer Samir Salam. Apprentices of “Iman” Muslim school presented a staged programme dedicated to the Ramadan month.
An important project of the Russian Muftis Council, the “Ramadan Tent” has been implemented with a view to strengthening friendship between peoples and uniting representatives of numerous peoples living in Moscow and having a faith in Islam.
The Russian representative office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation participates in this project each year, and organizes iftar tables for religious people.
