First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva visits Kurdakhany settlement of Baku

First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited, May 21, Kurdakhany settlement of Sabunchu district, Baku city.

Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva first arrived at Secondary School No.113 named after Huseynbala Aghaverdiyev in Kurdakhany settlement. According to the information given, 6 thousand people live in Kurdakhany settlement. There is one school here. Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva viewed classrooms in this education institution, and met with teachers and pupils.

Secondary School No.113 consists of two buildings. The first building was constructed in 1971. Last repair works were carried out here in 2006. 2320 pupils are educated at the schools with teaching in Azerbaijani. 100 teachers are engaged in their education. Teaching here is arranged in two shifts. The second building of the school was constructed in 2008. Mehriban Aliyeva gave instructions with regard to performing necessary repair and restoration works.

Then, First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva were on a visit to the family of Telman Aliyev, a resident of the settlement.

Telman Aliyev and his family met with Mehriban Aliyeva while in a sanctuary in Mardakan settlement, and invited her to tea.

At the meeting with Telman Aliyev’s family, Mehriban Aliyeva noted that works being carried out towards social and economic development of the settlement and creation of jobs would be continued further. The family members thanked Mehriban Aliyeva for the attention shown towards the development of the settlement.

At the end of the meeting, a gift was presented to Mehriban Aliyeva on behalf of the family, and a photo taken.
