Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the Iftar ceremony arranged in Pir Hassan shrine in Mardakan settlement, Khazar district, Baku city.
Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva had been recently invited to an Iftar table while on a visit to that shrine.
Those gathered around the Iftar table thanked for the social and economic development and peace in Azerbaijan. They highly appreciated the works carried out by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva for the advancement of the country, expressing a hope such ceremonies would soon be held in Garabagh.
Mehriban Aliyeva said she was delighted in meeting with residents of Khazar district, wishing their prayers to be heard in Ramadan month, and God always protect Azerbaijan.
