Squirrels were released into the green area in the ADA University’s campus, in the framework of the project “City Ecology” by IDEA Public Association, May 24. The project “City Ecology” aims at preserving fauna species related to city environment and widely spread earlier, and reintroduction thereof.

Initially, 25 squirrels were released into the campus area, with favourable living conditions for squirrels.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.

Another reason why squirrels are released into this area is that they would get over to the territory of the new Zoological Park and Dada Gorgud Park with abundant pine trees, and breed naturally.
