Inhabitants of children’s homes in Baku visit Moscow following Leyla Aliyeva’s initiative

A group of inhabitants of Children’s Home №1 in Nizami district and Children’s Home №3 in Khatai district participated in the festive events held in Moscow on the occasion of June 1st – the International Children’s Protection Day – organized by the Russian Children’s Fund – following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.

On June 1st, 70 years passed since the day of establishing the International Children’s Protection Day. On this occasion, the Russian Children’s Fund invited 10 thousand children from different regions of the country, as well as from foreign countries, to Moscow. In the course of a few days, children will watch shows prepared for them at famous theatres of Moscow, and visit the Kremlin, museums, and zoos.

The opening ceremony of the festive event took place at Russia’s Bolshoi Theatre. Children watched a staged concert programme. Before the show, head of the Russian Children’s Fund Albert Likhanov read a letter of congratulation by President Vladimir Putin to the participants of the event.

Representative of Children’s Home №1 in Nizami district Rovshan Mammadov thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the conditions created for children to participate in the interesting festive event held in Moscow.
