Leyla Aliyeva attends the closing ceremony of the 15th European Youth Olympic Festival

Recognized in the world as a skilful organizer of most reputable sports events, Azerbaijan, hosting one more reputable international sports tournament – EYOF Baku 2019” - 15th European Youth Olympic Festival- on a high level, wrote another history. Attention of the sports community of the world, including Europe, was focused on Azerbaijan in the course of the last seven days.

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 15th European Youth Olympic Festival’s Organizing Committee Yagub Eyyubov, Vice-president of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Neils Nygaard, mayor of the Banska Bistritsa region of Slovakia, which is going to host the next festival, Jan Nosko, heads of participating countries’ delegations, and other persons attended the closing ceremony taking place in Baku Chrystal Hall.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva was among the closing ceremony attendees.

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairperson of the 15th European Youth Olympic Festival’s Organizing Committee Yagub Eyyubov, Vice-president of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Neils Nygaard, mayor of the Banska Bistritsa region of Slovakia, which is going to host the next festival, Jan Nosk addressed the ceremony.

Having won 23 medals – 10 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze – at the festival, Azerbaijan’s national team took the fourth place.
