Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
On August 26, an event took place at the Heydar Aliyev Centre with participation of a group of IDP.
First Vice-president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event and celebrated her birthday together with them.
“Those gathering here have one only dream – quick restoration of the territorial integrity”, said chairperson of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and IDP Rovshan Rzayev. The chairperson of the committee talked about the works carried out in the country towards solving issues concerning refuges and IDP.
Then, a concert programme was presented.
Mehriban Aliyeva and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva too joined the event.
First, they became familiarized with the exhibition arranged in the framework of the event.
Representatives of Khojavend, Shusha, Aghdam and Fuzuli districts, as well as “Shushanyn Daghlary” ensemble performed their songs.
Mehriban Aliyeva delivered a speech before internally displaced people.
Then, a photo was taken.
Congratulating Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday, internally displayed people delivered her their best wishes.
Mehriban Aliyeva was presented a painting work called “Fortress of Shusha”.
Mehriban Aliyeva, noting she has always felt the attention of refugees and IDP, said the state will always be by their side.
