Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
On September 27, inauguration of the book exhibition “Manuscripts of Nasimi in World Libraries” took place in the National Library of Azerbaijan named after M.F. Akhundzadeh.
Arranged in the framework of the project “Returning Our Cultural Treasures to Homeland”, the exhibition was realized within the Baku 4th International Book Exhibition-Fair.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva too attended the opening ceremony.
Culture Minister Abulfas Garayev addressed the event.
Director of the National Library Karim Tahirov presented books containing information about the library, and verses about mother in three languages to Leyla Aliyeva.
Then, guests became familiarized with the exhibition.
With participation of Leyla Aliyeva, also took place opening of the international cooperation hall in the National Library.
It was informed that it is possible to create and benefit from direct Internet connection with literature corners and libraries of these countries.
Guests made themselves acquainted with the reading halls of the National Library.
