We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
Presentation of the public art project “The Opening Walls” took place in Gala settlement, September 30, in the framework of the Nasimi Festival.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the project’s presentation ceremony.
Seven foreign and two local graffiti artists, participating in the last year’s project, created unbelievable wall pictures on an abandoned industrial warehouse walls.
It was informed that works created by artists from Azerbaijan, Brazil, South Africa, Spain, Netherlands and France in the genre of urban/ street art, and a wall panel based on paintings of creative children from Buzovna and Mardakan settlements were also demonstrated in the framework of the project.
The primary objective was not only to show artworks of famous artists, but also to involve local talents in this project.
The social and cultural project “Creating Hope” was also implemented this year, in the framework of the Nasimi – Poetry, Art and Morality Festival, with participation of children from children’s homes and boarding schools. 30 participants involved in the design courses within the project reflected their dreams through pictures, then to be copied onto T-shirts.
Demonstration of these T-shirts took place in the framework of the festival. The objective of the project is to develop creative skills of inhabitants and graduates of children’s homes and boarding schools, and create possibilities for their employment.
Then, guests became familiarized with both the projects.
