An international conference on “Nasimi poetry – anthem to human: synthesis of moral and cultural values of the East and West” is held in Moscow

An international conference on “Nasimi poetry – anthem to human: synthesis of moral and cultural values of the East and West” was held at the Russian Academy of Sciences, in the framework of the 650th anniversary of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadeddin Nasimi.

Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony.

At the conference, held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Russian Philosophical Association and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, lectures were heard on such themes as “Contemporary philosophy, Nasimi’s cultural and historical methodologies and contemporary legacy”, “Nasimi’s ideas and hurufism: matters of perception and contemporary interpretation", “An issue of humanism in Nasimi’s creativity”, “Affirmation of human and cultural values in Nasimi poetry” etc.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloghlu, director of the Russian Philosophical Association Andrey Smirnov, head of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Philosophy Abdulsalam Huseynov, director of the Institute of Philosophy of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Ilham Mammadzadeh etc. addressed the opening ceremony.

Scholars from various countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, USA, Iran, Turkey, Finland and Uzbekistan, attended the conference.
