We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
Inauguration of another front yard took place within the framework of the project “Our Front Yard”, being implemented following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva, which aims at renovating front yards in need of repair in Baku city, November 12.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration ceremony, as well as in the mass tree-planting action arranged during the event.
The renovated yard covers apartment buildings with 2000 residents at 41, 43, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53 and 55, Mir Jalal Street, Binagadi district of Baku.
The primary objective of the project “Our Front Yard” is to make front yards of apartment buildings in Baku ecologically more clean and improved, restore the vegetation - which makes up the backbone of the city ecology, to form a healthy lifestyle, and create safe and comfortable living conditions for residents.
Movement of disabled people and those with impaired health condition has been taking into account while designing the yard, and, with a view to creating favourable conditions for the development of children of all age groups and arranging the leisure of the youth, 1 mini football pitch, 1 chess ground, sports facilities, a playground for children, 12 summer houses and 15 benches were built, and a cycling path laid out. The primary objective of building such grounds is to ensure that the youth lead a healthy life, strengthen their health, spend their free time efficiently, as well as to create in them the habit of constantly engaging in sport.
Taking into consideration the wishes of the residents, new illumination poles were installed in the yard, with the entrances and facades of the buildings being fully repaired. Along with restoration of existing trees and bushes in the yard, additionally, 100 trees were planted and a strip of greenery laid out in an a area of 3 thousand square metres, and irrigation hydrants installed on the territory. With a view to securing the safety of the residents, the yard has been provided with surveillance cameras.
The said projects is intended to be implemented in all districts of Baku. Therefore, please send information and recommendations with regard to the yards in the capital in need of repair to IDEA Public Association.
