Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Influential newspaper of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences “Ukimerioni” (“უქიმერიონი”) has published poems by renowned Azerbaijani poetess Leyla Aliyeva - a laureate of “A Key to Life” Award of an American charity association and “Gold Medal” named after Pushkin - such as “We’re running, flying, rushing”, “Time”, “Shops and restaurants”, and “Tears”.
The poems were translated into Georgian by renowned Georgian poet, chairperson of the Georgian Writers’ Union Makvala Gonashvili.
In its 30-year activity, the newspaper has regularly published creative works of well-known writers of the world.
