On December 4^th, the final tree-planting action of the 2021 All-Republican Greenery-planting Marathon” (the Green Marathon) and a bicycle racing in the framework of the project “EU4Climate” took place in the Absheron National Park with participation of Leyla Aliyeva, the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev, minister of Defence Industry, president of the Cycling Sport Federation of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev, as well as representatives of the United Nations, European Union and the International Migration Organization, ambassadors of the Great Britain, Belgium, Tajikistan, Bulgaria, Greece and Israel to Azerbaijan and other representatives of the diplomatic corps attended the event. 

In the framework of the event, one millionth tree of the 2021 Green Marathon was planted and, whereby, the tree-planting action was finalized.
