Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Recently, one of the lions in the Baku Zoological Garden gave birth to a cub.
Founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva visited the lion-cub at the Zoo and became familiar with its health and the conditions it’s been held in.
As the female lion is unexperienced and incapable to take care of the cub, it is held in a separate place. At the moment, the cub is placed in a specially equipped warm room, being kept under regular control of a veterinary doctor and servants of the Zoo. With the birth of the female cub, weighing about three kilograms, the number of lions in the park rose to 5.
