On November 10, another seaside cleaning action was held with participation of Leyla Aliyeva, the vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association, in which took part also volunteers.

Held under the slogan “Let’s keep shores clean”, the action took place on the territory of the Bilgah beach of Baku. Provided with necessary sanitary means, participants of the action have cleaned the territory from a large quantity of litters, especially from plastic litter that cause long-term damage to the environment. 

The primary objective of the event was to promote observance of cleanness on sea shores, prevent coastal territories from littering, and attract people to endeavours aimed at the protection of the coastal environment. 

With a view to protecting the unique biodiversity of the Caspian Sea and other water reservoirs of the Caucasian region, IDEA has been regularly holding events aiming to clean and restore littered coastal territories.
