We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
On December 30th, a ceremony of presenting the documentary “Gyzylaghaj National Park – A Caspian Fairy Tale” took place at Nizami Cinema Centre, within the framework of the special project “10 Wonders of Azerbaijan” by IDEA Public Association.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva attended the event.
Before the film’s presentation, guests became familiar with a video and photo exhibition about 6 documentaries realized since 2014 - “The Shirvan National Park”, “The Aghgoel National Park”, “The Goeygoel National Park”, “Gazelles”, “the Absheron National Park”, and “the Shahdagh National Park”.
Speaking at the event, director of the film Igor Byshnyov thanked Leyla Aliyeva, the initiator of the project, talking about interesting details from the shooting process of the following film of the project being carried out in a continuous and successful manner, and underscored that we were lucky to live in a country with unique colourful and natural beauties.
The film is about the mammals, endemic and endangered species and transfrontier migrating animals of global significance existing on the territory of the Gyzylaghaj National Park created by a Resolution of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in 2018 and entered on the Red Book, as well as other flora and fauna species characteristic of the territory.
At the event, 10 volunteers who have participated in projects of IDEA Public Association during the year 2023 were honoured with certificates of gratitude by Leyla Aliyeva.
After the presentation of the documentary “Gyzylaghaj National Park – A Caspian Fairy Tale”, trailers of a new film talking about the Hirkan National Park - of which shootings are continuing at the moment - were shown.
The primary objective of IDEA’s making documentaries about national parks is to promote Azerbaijan’s magnificent beauties both within and outside the country, as well as draw attention to the importance of protecting the environment.
