Celebration in Moscow on the 20th anniversary of the Restoration of Azerbaijan’s state independence

Event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan’s state independence was held at the M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University, December 5.

Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Head of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) Mrs Leyla Aliyeva attended the event. 
 
Students from Russia said poems by Azerbaijani poets in Azerbaijani language in the event held at the Institute of Asian and African Studies of the University. 
 
The students presented sketches from the well-known musical comedy by great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli “Arshyn Mal Alan”. The sketches were prepared by Mardan Feyzullayev, Art Director and Senior Director of Dervish Theater of Moscow, Honor Artist of Azerbaijan. 
 
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloghlu highly valued the sketches from “Arshyn Mal Alan” performed in the Azerbaijani language by Russian students. He assessed the presentation of the Azerbaijani culture at this influential educational center as a big gift for the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence. 
 
Head of the Caucasian Countries Department of the University Zhbekla Syzdykova emphasized Mrs Leyla Aliyeva’s participation in the event. 
 
Following the event, L.Aliyeva was familiarized with the Azerbaijani Language and Literature Center restored at the Institute due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The Center has textbooks and devices to promote Azerbaijani language, culture ad art. 
 
Holding the next event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Azerbaijan’s state independence at the most influential university of Russia was characterized as another success of the Azerbaijani culture.
