We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited Six Domes Synagogue in Gyrmyzy settlement of Guba, March 18.
Leyla Aliyeva was informed of the history of the synagogue.
It was noted that, constructed in 1888, the synagogue is an ancient architectural monument built in the Eastern style. The part facing the prayer wall in the synagogue - a big prayer hall - is called “Aron Kadus”.Shaped as a hexagonal star, the windows were made of oak. Here is a prayer room for 60 people meant for holding religious ceremonies.
During the Soviet period, the temple was used as a storehouse, and, after the country regained its independence, the it was restored and commissioned anew.
