We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
A meeting and master class with the famous Uzbek miniature master Jahangir Ashurov was held on November 18, organized by the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, followed by the opening of an exhibition of the artist's works.
Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva, as well as artists, attended the event.
During the meeting held at the Baku Photography House, Jahangir Ashurov shared his creative experience with the participants, demonstrated his art techniques and answered questions.
Artists, designers, art researchers and art enthusiasts participated in the event, who had also the opportunity to get up close to the intricacies of miniature art and feel its magic.
Later, the opening ceremony of Jahangir Ashurov's "Oriental Miniature: A Journey Through Time" exhibition was held in the exhibition hall of the Baku Photography House.
The exhibition is of particular importance in terms of bringing to the audience the rich history of miniature art.
