The annual AYOR competition “Who? Where? When?” - originated by Leyla Aliyeva - took place in Moscow

On the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva - Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Chair of the AYOR (the Azerbaijan Youth Organisation of Russia), the annual AMOR competition “Who? Where? When?” was held once again in Moscow.

This year’s competition was dedicated to the celebrated national leader of Azerbaijan’s people, Heydar Aliyev.

 

One hundred and fifty contestants from 26 teams took part in the competition. Rovshan Askerov – the competition presenter, and holder of the “Crystal Owl” - thanked AYOR Chairperson Leyla Aliyeva for her support in organising the event, mentioning that young Azeris who live in Russia take part in this intellectual challenge with great enthusiasm. He underlined how important this kind of event is for the current generation of Azeri young people.

The questions which were put to the contestants in the tournament included many about the life and work of Azeri national leader Heydar Aliyev. The winners of the contest were the team from the Russian National Taxation Academy, while second place went to the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The winners received gifts from BAKU magazine.
