President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
Leila Aliyeva, head of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Russia Office, leader of Azerbaijan Club of Moscow State International Relations Institute (MSIRI), visited October 26 Tula Province of Russian Federation.
L.Aliyeva was presented salt and bread by girls in national dress. She visited Tula Pedagogic Institute named after L.N.Tolstoy, met with students, including Azeris studying there. She talked of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s action, goals and duties of its Russia Office, which, according to her, aims to support creation of Azerbaijan clubs of Azeri youth in all regions of the country and assembly of youth in those clubs.
In the second half of the day, Leila Aliyeva met with Tula Province Governor Vyacheslav Dudka and City Mayor Albert Ukolov. In the meetings, friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Russia were stressed, issues related to Azeri community, including Azeri youth in the region discussed. L.Aliyeva noted major goal of the visit is establishing close relations with young Azerbaijanis and Azeri diaspora in the Province. She mentioned the Foundation’s Russia-Baku Office aims propagating culture, history and science of Azerbaijan in this country and supporting strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between Azeris and Russians.
Leila Aliyeva visited also Province Library of Tula.
Head of Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Russia Office was accompanied in the visit by consul general of Azerbaijan to St Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov.
