Ladies and gentlemen, dear friends. First of all, let me welcome you to exhibition ‘Baku With Love’. I express you my gratitude for coming. 2 years ago we instituted ‘Baku’ magazine in Moscow. Our purpose was to provide more information to our valuable readers on our beautiful capital, on climate of Baku and mysterious aspects of the capital of Azerbaijan. On the pages of our magazine we present our culture, traditions. We cover not only the history of Azerbaijan, we also introduce it as the country of XXI century. Throughout centuries, Baku – the capital of Azerbaijan had various names: ‘City of Winds’, ‘Land of Fires’, ‘Pearl of Caspian’. Baku has several faces: ancient and modern – from its broad avenues to narrow medieval side-streets, from Maiden Tower of Middle Ages to the present urban landscapes. Baku is in full swing and at the same mysterious in the sample of Gobustan, the ancient wealth.

I can talk of Baku for hours, but let me invite you to familiarize yourself with our city, see amazing works by Gueorgui Pinkhassov, the gifted photographer. As you see, these photographs are the works of high art and we are honored to present his photos in a nice city such as London where I have spent several pleasant years of my life.

Dear friends, I once again thank you all for coming. I hope you will enjoy this evening and it would be very nice to meet with you in Baku someday. Thank you so much.
