President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
The Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs Leyla Aliyeva, opened a new Resource Centre at the Public Administration Academy – under the Presidential Administration - as part of IDEA Environmental Campaign, on May 19th.
The event was attended by the initiator of IDEA Environmental Campaign, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Leyla Aliyeva, State and Government officials, the Academy’s administration and students.
Mrs Leyla Aliyeva cut a ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the center.
Mrs Leyla Aliyeva was briefed on the high technologies, necessary electronic and scientific supplies which are available at the Center. The center will provide additional opportunities for studies and researching information about the future of our planet.
The center will particularly contribute to the fruitful organization of leisure of young people, identifying new directions of activity, and their preparation for future professional life with a different outlook. From childhood people should learn environmental knowledge, and define rules of conduct for themselves. The center also aims to attract young people to environment-related researches, organize training sessions, meetings and to implement environmental education projects. Our planet has limited resources - we must to search for the best ways to use them, and contribute to the assurance of the world community’s awareness on this issue.
The IDEA Campaign has a;ready become global - environment has no frontiers. Any step taken within the national frontiers targets the future of the mankind. The Campaign follows a “sustainable development” concept and underscores the need for ensuring harmony between development and environment. Current development trends of mankind should not harm the opportunities of the future generations to meet their needs.
After inspecting the facilities at the center, Mrs Leyla Aliyeva wished every success to the Academy`s staff.
