The International Dialogue for Environment Action (IDEA) opens a fresh season of Experience Programs - to set up situations in which theoretical knowledge gained in colleges and universities can be put to practical experience. Students can hone their research skills, and get experience of the professional business environment.
The young people who participate in the program will join in setting up ecological projects, spending four hours each day over five working days. The projects might be environmental events and activities, or internships under the supervision of experienced staff.
The program is open to young people aged 18 to 30, who are studying in the fields of ecology, biology, geography, sustainable development, journalism, public relations, international relations, translation (Azeri-English, Russian-English), and who have a perfect knowledge of the Azeri language, and a sufficient ability in English for independent work (Upper-Intermediate Level).
After completing the program, young people who have participated in the experience program will have the chance to attend weekly training sessions organised for them. The training will include information about company structure, work methods and the responsibilities of trainees, and the basis of internship places.
The young people will the chance to have an internship – usually in three areas of activity. Young people who are studying topics related to the environment and natural sciences will work on environmental projects, and the organisation of ecological activities. Students who are studying journalism, PR or international relations will write articles, prepare press releases, and carry out official correspondence. Young people who are studying as translators will be involved in translating text material, press releases, articles, and other publications.
The programs will begin on 15th September, lasting for four months. Participants who complete the program successfully will receive appropriate certificates.
Young people who are interested in taking part in these programes should send their Cvs, no later than 5th September 2013, with a covering email message of no less than 300 words, saying what interests them in these programs. The International Dialogue for Environmental Action was incepted on 12th June 2011 by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliev Foundation, Mrs Leyla Aliyeva.
