Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
The 3rd Baku International Humanitarian Forum was launched, on October 31.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of the Forum.
Guests from over 100 countries are participating in the Forum.
The Forum will last two days, and “round tables” will be organized on eight topics: “Convergence of technologies and future outlines: key calls of the 21st century”, “Humanitarian aspects of economic development”, “Scientific innovations and their transfer into the education environment”, “Multiculturism and individuality: in search of value of consensus in the society”, “National self-awareness in the post-modern period”, “Sustainable development and ecological civilization”, “Achievements of molecular biology and biotechnology: from theory to practice”, “Pressing issues of media in a globalized information space”.
The Forum’s work aims at building a dialogue through “round tables”, and its duty is exchange of ideas, theoretical and practical knowledge, and formation of a platform for constructive debates and discussions.
