We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
The opera “Siberia” by Italian composer Umberto Giordano was played by Moscow’s “Helicon Opera” Music Theatre on a stage at the Heydar Aliyev Center, November 3.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the show.
The show was directed by People’s Artist of Russia Dmitri Bertman, the artistic director of Moscow’s “Helicon-Opera” Music Theatre.
Two-act “Siberia” opera was produced on the basis of Lev Tolstoy’s novel “Resurrection”.
The show’s premiere took place on December 19, 1903 at La Scala Theatre, Milan.
