Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Opening of the cafe “Mechta” built in the Russian city of Astrakhan following the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation took place, December 20.
Leyla Aliyeva and Governor of the Astrakhan region Alexander Jilkin cut the ribbon symbolizing the café’s opening. Children were presented New Year gifts.
The cafe is located near the children’s park laid out with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Inauguration of the children’s park took place on 12 September 2012. Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva had attended the inauguration of the park.
With total area of about 1200 square metres, the park features seven big and several small attraction facilities. Necessary conditions have been created for children’s safety.
