Presentation of the novel-research “Heydar Aliyev: Personality and Time” takes place in Moscow

Presentation of the 5th and 6th volumes of the novel-research “Heydar Aliyev: Personality and Time” by Elmira Akhundova, a writer-publicist and deputy to the Milli Majlis, took place at the M.I.Rudomino All-Russian State Foreign Literature Library in Moscow.

The multi-volumed set has been written based on archive materials and official documents, and hundreds of interviews of the author with friends, relatives of Azerbaijani people’s national leader Heydar Aliyev, and like-minded persons of him.

The presentation ceremony has been organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, the Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia and the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia.

In the library’s foyer, a photo-exhibition devoted to the national leader was organized by the Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia.

Author of the multi-volumed set Elmira Akhundova mentioned that the Foundation for Support to Non-government Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan organized an international contest for the best publicist work about Heydar Aliyev, May this year.  

At the evening, the winners of the international contest - author of the article “Heydar Aliyev. Human-epoch” Oleg Kuznetsov, author of the article “A Man Who Saved His Country” Valery Jalagoniya and “A Fearless Man” Alexander Budberg - were awarded prizes for the best works about Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloghlu, doctor of philosophy, professor Konstantin Dolgov, deputy to the Milli Majlis Arif Rahimzadeh, professor of the Moscow State International Relations University, former employee of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan early in 1990s Stanislav Chernyavski, and journalist Valery Jalagonia delivered a speech.

The event was attended by deputies to the Milli Majlis, representatives of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, the Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia, the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress, the Russian Union of Azerbaijani Youth, and of the Russian general public.
