President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin presents the “Pushkin” Medal to Leyla Aliyeva
Following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, the Foundation’s Russian Representative Office, together with Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour, has held wide-scale charitable actions in Moscow.
On the occasion of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, employees of the Foundation’s Russian Representative Office visited the Moscow Medical Aid for Children Research and Development Centre, and Special Children’s Home No.43 in Moscow. Comprehensive rehabilitation treatment of children suffering form congenital development defects, with deformation of craniofacial region and locomotor apparatus, all types of malignant and non-malignant tumours, and other diseases are carried out at the Medical Aid for Children Research and Development Centre.
Head of the Centre, academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Andrey Pritiko thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva for the care and attention shown towards diseased children. After the festive concert at the winter garden of the complex, employees of the Representative Office met with children being treated at diagnostics, oncology, neurosurgery and rehabilitation departments, and conveyed Leyla Aliyeva’s greetings to them. Children were given various gifts, and the centre was presented a vacuum cleaner and other domestic appliances.
Then employees of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s Russian Representative Office visited Special Children’s Home No.43 in Moscow. After a festivity here, children were presented various toys, and the children’s home was given an air conditioner. Actors of the S.V.Obraztsov State Academic Central Puppet Theatre played the music drama “Once upon a time, there lived...” Director of the children’s home Galina Birk thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation on behalf of the team.
At present, similar charitable actions are being held in 20 other regions of Russia, following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva.
