23/02/2014

On February 23, a ceremony devoted to the 22nd anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy and the 5th anniversary of the International Campaign “Justice for Khojaly!”, which was initiated in 2009, took place at Simon Peres World Centre in Tel-Aviv.

It should be noted that, within the framework of the campaign and with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Israel-Azerbaijan International Association (AzIz) has held photo exhibitions reflecting the Khojaly tragedy in 10 cities of Israel. Inauguration of the photo exhibition took place a year ago at the Diaspora Museum of the Tel-Aviv University. Later these photos were demonstrated in the cities of Afula, Tirat-Carmel, Or-Akiva, Kiryat-Ekron, Netanya, Tel-Aviv, Rehovot, Ashkelon, Akko and Loda.

All these exhibitions were attended by the leadership of the city, in which it was held, as well as heads of public associations and representatives of press, and the exhibitions were broadly covered by local and foreign mass media.

With support from the Mountain Jewish Regional Public Charitable Foundation, a video film in a CD was prepared, and a booklet describing the exhibition issued.
