Leyla Aliyeva visits children home-school in Saint Petersburg

In frame of her visit to Saint Petersburg, Leila Aliyeva, head of Representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation, visited a children home-school in Primorsky administrative district. She was met by first deputy head of Primorsky district administration Vladimir Omelnitsky and director of the School Lyubov Katayeva.

Children of the children home-school with English language bias gave an interesting concert at the conference hall, performed Azeri and Russian dances, songs of Azeri composers, various compositions. Delivering speech for pupils of the School Leila Aliyeva talked of multilateral action of the Foundation. She said help to education and schools is one of priorities of the Foundation. Last years nearly 300 schools were built and reconstructed in Azerbaijan on the initiative of the Foundation. 1500 new schools were built by the government. Knowledge is big power and future of society, guarantor of prosperity and success of people.

L.Aliyeva answered questions from schoolchildren regarding development of sports, education, Russian language and demographic state in Azerbaijan. She emphasized children in Azerbaijan also keen to possess knowledge, to study. In her reply to question on what profession she recommends the youth to chose she replied the sphere of media, calling that prospective and interesting.

Then, Leila Aliyeva was familiarized with classrooms, cabinets, talked to children, presented a big TV set, a player and other gifts to the School. Photo was taken in the end of the meeting.

Expressing gratitude to the head of Representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Russia for attention to the Russian children Vladimir Omelnitsky said ‘This visit will set the base of future friendship and cooperation. Child diplomacy is the strongest diplomacy and we hope we will know Azerbaijan more closely’. Director of the School Lyubov Katayeva cordially thanked L.Aliyeva for charity and care to orphans. 

Consul general of Azerbaijan to St Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov was presented in the meeting.
