We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
The 5th Annual “Heydar Aliyev Cup” Mini-Football Tournament has been held at the Luzhniki Olympic Complex in Moscow.
The event was initiated by Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and organized by the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR).
The tournament brought together 24 teams including the teams of the Azerbaijani Embassy, the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress, Karabakh, the All-Russia International Union of Youth, the Moscow branch of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress, Regional Departments of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia in Kaluga and Tula, as well as 17 Azerbaijani clubs under Moscow universities.
Addressing the solemn opening ceremony of the tournament, humanitarian affairs adviser at the Azerbaijani Embassy Nigar Akhundova, Executive Director of the All-Russia Azerbaijanis Congress Ilgar Hajiyev and member of the administration of the AYOR Emin Hajiyev congratulated the participants of the event and wished them successes.
The Moscow Humanitarian Economic Institute team became the winner of the “Heydar Aliyev Cup” for the 5th time, while “Baku” finished second.
The teams of the Azerbaijani Embassy and Moscow State Juridical Academy won the bronze medals.
