Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
On May 29, an event was held by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to mark the 1st of June – the International Day for Protection of Children – at the recreation camp of Children’s Home No.1 of Baku in Shuvalan Settlement of the Khazar District.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the event.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Ilgar Mustafayev talked about the projects implemented by the Foundation for children, and noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva show special attention towards matters like surrounding children with care and bringing them up as citizens with up-to-date thinking. Ilgar Mustafayev told that, in order to bring up young people with a sound mind and modern thinking, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing successful projects.
Guests from the Russian Federation’s Astrakhan Region, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan attended the ceremony.
