Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Vice-president of the Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration of Nursery-kindergarten №175 in Nizami district of Baku, October 3.
This preschool education establishment consists of 2 buildings. Before the repair, 110 children used to be educated on 6 groups here. Taking into consideration the demand for a kindergarten, a new building of the kindergarten was constructed this year, and basic renovation works carried out in the old building, whereby, the number of groups at the kindergarten was increased from 6 to 12 and number of children became 230. A staff comprised of 70 people will be engaged in the education of children. Out of 12 groups at the kindergarten, 10 are Azerbaijani groups, 2 Russian groups. Children of two age groups – 2 to 3 and 3 to 6 – will be taken care of here.
Mehriban Aliyeva and Leyla Aliyeva visited the Heydar Aliyev corner at the kindergarten and viewed also a national corner. Here are displayed handicrafts of both children and pedagogues. There is also a “Patriotism” corner at the kindergarten to educate children in the spirit of patriotism. At the kindergarten, children will have a chance to learn English and master the computer knowledge.
The “Planetarium” corner has been created at this two-shift establishment. Here, children will be able to learn the basics of astronomy. Basically repaired, the building accommodates also a sports hall and a kitchen. There are football and golf pitches, a special ground for children’s learning traffic rules, and rest corners in the yard.
