Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva paid a visit to Special School №268 in Nasimi District of Baku and acquainted herself with the conditions created here, October 9.
930 pupils with retarded mental, intellectual and physical ability are studying at this school functioning since 1927. 130 of them are studying in the school building, the rest at homes in an individual fashion. With Azerbaijani and Russian sections, this school was basically repaired in 2003 following the initiative of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.
Leyla Aliyeva met with children, inquired about pupils’ education.
Pupils were presented computers, teaching accessories and school bags.
