An event devoted to the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day is held in Moscow following Leyla Aliyeva's initiative

Following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, New Year festivities were arranged by the Russian Representative Office of the Foundation and All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress (AAC) for orphans being educated at children homes and boarding schools of Moscow, December 25.

Children being educated at children’s homes of Moscow, as well as pupils from School No.157 with Azerbaijani ethno-cultural component named after Karim Karimov, and School No.1331 with Georgian ethno-cultural component were invited to the festivity show at “Baku” Cinema.

Children were entertained by professional animators presenting interactive programmes “Around the Christmas Tree”, “Soap Opera Show”, “Aqua-Make-up”, “Chocolate Fountain” and “Skilful Hands Circle” accompanied by Santa Claus, Snow Maiden, Baba-Yaga, and “Photo-theatre” show.

AAC Executive Director Ilgar Hajiyev congratulated children and their parents on the New Year holiday and thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the support provided to the organization of the festivity. Then the puppet show “By the Call of Pike” was demonstrated for children.

At the end of the event, children were presented New Year gifts by the Russian Representative Office of the Foundation and AAC.
