Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
An exhibition entitled “Exploring Inward” comprised of works by representatives of the modern Azerbaijani art Aida Mahmudova and Faig Ahmad at London’s famous art gallery “Louise Blouin Foundation” opened. The exhibition took place within the framework of the Second “Buta” International Azerbaijani Art Festival with the organizational support of Buta Art Centre.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the exhibition.
General Director of Buta Art Centre Nasib Piriyev talked about the projects implemented by the Centre and gave information regarding the upcoming events to take place within the framework of the Second “Buta” International Azerbaijani Art Festival.
Curator of the exhibition, a specialist on modern art and gallery Farah Piriyeva talked about the art and creativity of Aida Mahmudova and Faig Ahmad. She said works by young talents of Azerbaijan aroused great interest throughout the world.
Then familiarization with the exhibition started.
To continue until February 6, the exhibition displays the Azerbaijani art reflecting the unity of old historical roots with modernity.
