Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Artworks by Europe’s famous Cracking Art Group and Semeni International Art Exhibition have opened at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the opening of the exhibition.
Cracking Art Group was established by six European painters Renzo Nucara, Marco Veronese, Kicco, French Alex Angi, Belgian Carlo Rizzetti and William Sweetlove in 1993. This movement is aimed at changing people’s imagination about the modern art and creating novelties in art by implementing innovative methods in social and environmental directions.
The painters make giant and brightly colored animals using recycled and easily disposed synthetic materials and focus public attention on environmental issues. Cracking Art artworks both draw attention to the environmental issues and demonstrate the application of new technologies.
Cracking Art Group creations have conquered a number of cities so far. The artworks have been demonstrated in New York, Sydney, Milan, and other cities. These artworks were demonstrated in the Heydar Aliyev Center’s park for Baku citizens and guests. The project implemented with the official partnership of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union is aimed at solving ecological problems in Azerbaijan and drawing people’s attention to the protection of flora and fauna.
The Heydar Aliyev Center’s park also hosted the traditional Semeni exhibition. Taking place on the eve of Novruz holiday, the exhibition demonstrated examples of modern art – semenis.
