Leyla Aliyeva meets with representatives of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva met with representatives of  the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA), April 5.

At the meeting, which had been attended also by minister of ecology and natural resources Huseyngulu Baghyrov, the guests were given comprehensive information about the activities of IDEA Public Association, as well as theprojects it has so far implemented; and it was emphasized that ecological enlightenment in the country has been improved. At the meeting were also held discussions on mutual cooperation with the said Federation in the sphere of ecological enlightenment and ecological art, and possibilities of implementing joint projects both in the country and on an international level. 

The International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation  was founded in 1932. Represented in five continents, the Federation brings together over 80 organization and over 2.5 million people from 50 countries. Primary objectives of the Federation is to develop mountaineering in the world, promote safe and ethic practices in this sphere and contribute to protection of the environment. The Federation has been recognized by the International Olympic Committee as an international organization representing mountaineering and climbing sports types.
