Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Following the initiative of Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, pupils of Azerbaijani Ethno-cultural Component School №157 named after Karim Karimov in Moscow and alumni of Sunday schools of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the Saint Danilov Monastery were invited to the ceremony of changing the cavalry and infantry guards at Moscow Kremlin’s Church square.
Supported by the Russian Representative Office of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Russian Culture Foundation, the children watched the ceremony of changing the cavalry and infantry guards with participation of the President regiment’s military servants, child group members of the ceremony and riders of the “Kremlin Cavalry school” team.
On the International Child Protection Day, employees of the Foundation delivered congratulations of Leyla Aliyeva to children and gave them presents.
As a tradition, each year on June 1st, the International Child Protection Day, a ceremony of changing the cavalry and infantry guards is held at Moscow Kremlin’s Church square for Moscow schools, with participation of the President regiment’s military servants. This year, riders of the “Kremlin Cavalry school” team participated in this event for the first time. Over 1000 pupils of Moscow, including alumni of institutions being under the department of social protection of population, public relations committee and education department were invited.
The ceremony of changing the cavalry and infantry guards devoted to the International Child Protection Day is held since 2007.
