Family values are deep-rooted in Azerbaijan, and have been passed down from generation to generation since time immemorial. Care of youngsters, and respect for the elderly are cherished traditions in our country.
Inauguration of the exhibition “Grace Kelly: The Princes and Style Icon”, one of the most famous exhibitions of the world, took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center, June 12.
Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva and Albert II, the Prince of Monaco, a son of Grace Kelly, who came to Baku to watch the opening ceremony of the Baku-2015 1st European Games, attended the ceremony.
Mehriban Aliyeva met with well-known public, political and sports persons coming to Baku from foreign countries.
Then acquaintance with the exhibition took place.
Held for the first time in Azerbaijan, the exhibition is devoted to the life path of Grace Kelly, a Hollywood actress and the Princes of Monaco.
Over 200 exhibits are presented to the audience in Baku. Among these exhibits are also beloved cars of the princes, who has lost her life in a car accident. Their first demonstration takes place in Baku. Dresses that Grace Kelly wore during movie shootings and at ceremonies after she became princess of Monaco, as well as the history of their make, and interesting facts associated with these dresses are presented to the audience.
The first inauguration of the exhibition “Grace Kelly: The Princess and Style Icon” took place in 2007 in Monaco, and 135 thousand people visited it. Thereafter, the exposition was displayed in such cities as Paris, Moscow, Rome, São Paulo, Toronto, Bendigo, Astana, Montreal, Doilestown, and Apeldon.
The exhibition will continue until November 1st.
