We've been setting this exhibition up for nearly two years. I believe that its language – the language of Art – eloquently conveys the great accomplishments our country has made in all spheres of achievement.
A premiere of the movie “Ali and Nino” will take place in January 2016. Shot based on Gurban Said’s world bestselling novel of the same name, the film will be demonstrated at the influential “Sundance” International Movie Festival of the USA, to be held from 21 to 31 January.
The executive producer of the movie “Ali and Nino” is Leyla Aliyeva, while Kris Thykier is the producer, BAFTA winner Asif Kapadia the director, and Academy Award winner Christopher Hampton the playwright. Adam Bakri, Maria Valverde, Halit Ergenc, Mandy Patinkin, Connie Nielsen, Riccardo Scamarcio, Homayoun Ershardi, Fakhraddin Manafov, Asad Bub, Numan Acar and other famous actors and actresses acted in the movie.
Shootings of the movie started on February 24, 2015 and continued until June, taking place in Baku, historical Icherisheher streets, a number of other places of the capital, as well as Gobustan, Khynalyg and other areas of the country.
The creative team of the movie had expressed their assurance, from the first day - relying on the good script, international-level team, very beautiful places for shooting and strong team of actors - that the film would reach great achievement.
This success will first be presented to general public for the first time at “Sundance” International Movie Festival.
