On December 29, presentation of the documentary “Goygol National Park”, produced within the framework of the project “9 Wonders of Azerbaijan” by IDEA Public Union, took place at Nizami Cinema Centre.

Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva attended the presentation ceremony.

Before the film’s presentation, Leyla Aliyeva acquainted herself with photos shot by Igor Byshnyov, the director of the documentary “Goygol National Park”, during the shootings.

Addressing the ceremony, Igor Byshnyov, thanking Leyla Aliyeva - the initiator of the project “Goygol National Park” - shared his impressions of the film’s shooting process. He said the fact that meetings here start with trailers of the next film is a good tradition. It was informed that the project was implemented by IDEA Public Union.

The director said: “The first film shot within the framework of the project was “Shirvan National Park”, which was presented last year, and the second one was the documentary “A Paradise of Birds – Aghgol National Park”, presented in April this year. And today, I am very pleased to participate in the presentation of the documentary “Goygol National Park” at the end of the year.

Goygol National Park was created in 1925, and the film is devoted to the 90^th anniversary of its creation.

It was emphasized that the first two films shot within the framework of the project are purely devoted to nature, and the documentary “Goygol National Park” is not only about nature, but also about Azerbaijan’s centuries-old culture, and archaeological disaster.

It was emphasized that participation of President Ilham Aliyev in the inaugurations of national parks in Azerbaijan is a very pleasant event.

Igor Byshnyov, thanking head of the project Leyla Aliyeva, said it was very interesting to collaborate with IDEA. IDEA Public Union’s ecological education of children is very significant.

Congratulating everyone on the 90^th anniversary of the Goygol National Park, he said this film is a present for holidays.

Within the framework of IDEA’s project “9 Wonders of Azerbaijan”, making of documentaries about 9 national parks of our country is planned. In this documentaries, Shahdagh, Hirkan, Altyaghaj, Zangazur, Absheron and Samur-Yalama national parks will be talked about.

Following IDEA Public Union’s initiative, the documentary “Goygol National Park” will be demonstrated at higher education institutions of our country, as well as at resource centres of the Union in Baku and Ganja cities. Moreover, demonstration of the documentary “Goygol National Park” in other countries and at international events is planned.

The documentary “Aghgol National Park”, produced within the framework of the project “9 Wonders of Azerbaijan”, was awarded “The TV Project of the Year” Prize at the 19^th International Ecological TV Festival called “Rescuing and Safeguarding” held on 17 June 2015 in Russia’s Khanty-Mansiysk city.

The objective of IDEA’s project “9 Wonders of Azerbaijan” is to promote charming natural beauties of Azerbaijan both in the country and abroad, as well as draw attention to the significance of environment’s protection.
