On January 19, Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva paid a visit to the boarding house for disabled veterans and workers located in Bilgah settlement of Baku.

The boarding house for disabled veterans and workers in Bilgah settlement has been functioning since the 60s of the last century. In 1998, national leader Heydar Aliyev paid a visit to this boarding house and met with veterans. In 2013, construction works were carried out at this boarding house. Opening of a new building of the boarding house took place with participation of President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. Now, 207 disabled people live here.

Leyla Aliyeva, meeting with inhabitants of the boarding house, had a sincere talk with them around a lunch table. Inhabitants of the boarding school expressed their satisfaction with the conditions created for them here. Leyla Aliyeva listened to the inhabitants with amusement, as they talked about their lives, and inquired about their problems.

Boarding house inhabitants’ playing music instruments was one of the most interesting moments of this event.

Another unforgettable moment of the meeting with the boarding house inhabitants was Zamina Jabrailova’s reading her verses to Leyla Aliyeva.

Saying that she would come to see them again, Leyla Aliyeva wished the inhabitants sound health and successes.
