Inauguration of the 7^th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations on the topic “Living Together in Inclusive Societies: A Challenge and A Goal”took place in Baku, April 26.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening ceremony.

Guests from 140 countries of the world, including heads of states and governments of UN member-countries, foreign ministers, political leaders, representatives of associate entities, international and regional organizations, as well as representatives of a private sector, art, media and academies, donor organizations and foundations, joined the Forum.

Heads of states and governments, other high-ranking participants of the Forum were photographed together. 

The Head of our State addressed the Forum’s opening ceremony.  

Then UN high representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nasir Abdulaziz Al-Nasir took the floor.

After a video-appeal of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was shown, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the event.
